It’s low tide here in RI, and today we’re drinking a big Space X mug with a homemade half-calf blend of City of Saints Denizen and BRCC’s Just Decaf. This mug was brewed via the Breville Duo Temp Pro, fine-ish grind (15/60), with distilled water and Third Wave’s Espresso Profile mineral supplement. I used the double-shot basket and the mineral supplement made this morning’s coffee extra smooth.

What is the optimal amount of caffeine for productivity? What is the optimal way to intake caffeine for productivity? I went down the caffeine rabbit hole this morning and started with the following video I found on Business Insider explaining how coffee affects body chemistry.
The article on Business Insider links to a few studies published on the website coffeeandhealth.org. The links to the studies were broken, but using the Internet Archive’s WayBack Machine I was able to find a summary of the affects of caffeine on sociability and mental performance. I’ll be investigating these sources in the near future and hope to have a full-length article on coffee available soon.
